Pike over 80cm must be released back!
1
Do not catch more fish than you need for your own needs. Catch limits and fishing rules are set to regulate the removal of fish at a level that our stocks can handle and in this way we can ensure regeneration, maintain a balanced ecosystem in our lakes and develop attractive fishing. By following the rules, we all help to preserve and manage fishing today and for the future.
2
The family annual permit and the day permit include fishing with rod and hook in all waters within the fishery management area, except for the put‑and‑take waters. With the family annual permit, the whole family may fish together, including children under 16 years of age living at home, when accompanied by a guardian.
3
Fishing rights certificates are only issued through a salesperson appointed by the board to check the property designation. The property designation and name of the fishing rights owner must always be included on the fishing rights certificate. Information about who owns the fishing rights can be found on our website.
4
We kindly ask that all reports of grayling and trout catches be submitted on our website as soon as possible. This information is important for us and for the authorities we cooperate with, as it helps us monitor how fishing in running waters is developing. Since 1991, more than 15 million SEK has been invested in liming Tallån, and Sikån has been restored at a cost of 200,000 SEK. We are therefore eager to receive data that shows whether these measures have been effective, in order to justify the expenses.
5
Barbless hooks must be used in flowing waters when fishing for grayling and trout in our larger streams: Sikån, Tallån, Risån, and Kvarnbyån.
6
Please note that fishing without a valid fishing permit, where such a permit is required, is an illegal and punishable offense under Swedish law (HVMFS – FIFS 2004:37). Fisheries inspectors therefore have the right to confiscate all equipment used, and illegal fishing will result in a police report.
If you violate our regulations, the incident will be reported to the Police, who will then determine whether the case should be forwarded to the prosecutor.
