The Stora Bygdeträsket Fisheries Management Area covers 7,000 hectares of water in the forested regions of Burträsk parish. The area is crossed by Highway 364, which connects the cities of Umeå and Skellefteå. The service centers within the area are Bygdsiljum and Burträsk, offering banks, postal services, shops, camping, a health center, and all the amenities needed for visitors to feel at home.
